Sym Scooters
SYM scooters are making waves in the market today. The company’s name is San Yang Motors and was once a part of the famous Honda brand triad in Taiwan before they’ve gone separate ways. The other company amongst the three brands is the Kwang Yang Motor Co. also known as KYMCO.
SYM and KYMCO have long been rivals, each struggling to be the leader in the Asian market. Aside from making scooters, SYM also partnered with Hyundai Korea in producing cars in Taiwan and is also associated with Bombardier Recreational Products and the Kinetic Motor Company in India. SYM dealers are based in Asia and Europe, but are now entering and making it big in North America. As a matter of fact, it was recently awarded as one of the top Taiwanese Global brands due to its accomplishment in Germany and France in 2006.
What sets apart SYM scooters from the other scooter brands is its use of the Ceramic Coated Cylinder process. In this process, extraordinary process of compound-electroplates scatter SiC ceramic particles to the cylinder wall. With this ceramic coating technique, each SYM scooters gives better mileage than any other brands.
